Hello,
I got my domain name and all the name servers configured correctly, based on http://www.elktech.org/Networking/Semester2/Materials/IPv6CertificationInstructions.pdf.
I am trying to pass the Enthusiast test and it HE.net could not grab my file. Not sure what I did wrong. Thanks
$ ping6 tech-issimo.com

Probably because you're on Windows
You're pinging your host from behind the firewall; unless you've explicitly denied ICMP and enabled HTTP (but I can't connect either) then I'd say you have a firewall issue.
Yes. i have Windows 7.
So I have IIS installed on my PC. I have my domain name with Godaddy. I changed the nameserver to ns1.he.net to ns5.he.net. I added my domain & configured AAAA at https://dns.he.net/.
Where is the association between my domain name and my webserver (my Windows PC)? I think that is where I got lost.
I have another domain name and it is associated with the domain name of the provider. But I don't see the association between tech-issimo and my webserver. I hope it makes sense what I am trying to describe. Thanks
I think you have that part licked as DNS is associating a IP address with your domain name.
You just need to allow HTTP traffic through your firewall.
Got it. Thank you. My AAAA says that my domain name is linked to my webserver IPv6 address.
The tunnel from my PC to HE tunnel broker is not a VPN tunnel. It is just an IPv4 connection with ipv6 on the inside. Correct?
Right, it's not a VPN connection.
IPv6 packets are being sent to you buried inside IPv4 packets.
