Hello
My current router is not ipv6 ready so i plan to get an ipv6 ready router. I lean towards DIR-632 because it's cheap and states clearly in the specifications that is IPV6 gold.
So i 've checked the manual http://files.dlink.com.au/Products/DIR-632/Manuals/DIR-632_Manual_v1.00.pdf and at page 55 it shows a tutorial how to use 6 to 4 tunneling.
Is this doable ? For example to use tunnel from he on my router settings and the rest pcs on my home network to be able to get automatically an ipv6 address? It has stateless and stateful settings page . The stateless requires only the ipv6 address of the router and the dns servers .
Thanks a lot for your help

Yes, you can use RA/SLACC to hand out IPv6 addresses to the rest of your network to give them IPv6 addresses
You'll want to follow the section on 6in4
Thank you for the response.
I understand most of the fields need to be filled but there are some that are not so clear.
Here is my tunnel details:
IPv6 Tunnel Endpoints
Server IPv4 Address:216.66.87.14
Server IPv6 Address:2001:470:1f1a:198::1/64
Client IPv4 Address:78.158.128.159
Client IPv6 Address:2001:470:1f1a:198::2/64
Routed IPv6 Prefixes
Routed /64: 2001:470:1f1b:198::/64
And here is the image with the fields on the router setup :
(http://i61.tinypic.com/6pvwwn.png)
Remote ipv4 address :216.66.87.14
Remote ipv6 address: 2001:470:1f1a:198::1
Local ipv4 address: My current ipv4
Local ipv6 address: 2001:470:1f1a:198::2
Primary Dns Server: I will use the one provided from HE , in this case is 2001:470:20::2
Lan ipv6 address : xxxxxxxxxxx 1/64 What do i fill in here ? The routed /64 2001:470:1f1b:198::1 ?
Address Autoconfiguration Settings : As it is in the picture : Stateless and autoconfiguration enabled . This is to enable every pc in the network to get an ipv6 address right?
If anyone can help me out i would really appreciate it , because it will help me decide to buy this router or not.
Thanks again
The blanks, in the correct order, are:
216.66.87.14
2001:470:1f1a:198::1/64
78.158.128.159
2001:470:1f1a:198::2/64
you can leave the IPv6 DNS stuff blank, other wise you can use 2001:470:20::2 (also on your tunnel page)
LAN IPv6 address is
2001:470:1f1b:198::1/64
