I remember reading in the past that HE only supported 16 bit ASN on the tunnelbroker service and that anyone wanting to setup BGP peering couldn't use a 32 bit ASN.
Is this still the case?
My organization is preparing an application (RIPE Area) and the form asks if a 16 bit ASN is essential. Should we be trying to get a 16 bit ASN (will be difficult/near impossible) so we can peer with HE or does HE support 32 bit ASN now?
thanks
Andy
Tunnelbroker now supports both 16-bit and 32-bit ASNs, so you should have no problem using a 32-bit ASN to setup a BGP tunnel.
