Title: Would HE consider supporting Foo-over-UDP?
Post by: pimzand on October 06, 2021, 10:23:13 AM
Would HE consider supporting Foo over UDP, with Foo being SIT?

See https://lwn.net/Articles/614348/

It would be a very simple way to encapsulate SIT traffic over UDP, allowing users to avoid all the issues there are with routing protocol 41 over the internet.
Of course, Wireguard would be fine too, but I realize that would require much more resources.

PPTP used to be a an alternative protocol in the past, why not have something better to replace that.

The common abbreviation for Foo-over-UDP is FOU.
