Title: freebsd jail and ipv6 tunnel
Post by: kriteknetworks on December 08, 2010, 08:32:57 AM
Hi folks, my expertise with freebsd jail env's is limited, I'm throwing this out to you.

Is it possible to establish an ipv6 tunnel from the jail, and if so, what configuration is required on the jails host to enable this?

Here's a mention of adding addresses to the jails

It does look like it's possible though

cholzauer: thanks but none of them address what I'm trying to achieve...

With the help of an associate, we've been able to achieve establishing an ipv6 tunnel from inside a jail.

I'll test further, and later post instructions for interested parties.

[EDIT]

Well things didnt work as intended, the host was able to be accessed via ipv6 as well as the jail, in effect making this a rather pointless endeavour. Ah well heh....
