Title: opensolaris
Post by: kriteknetworks on December 28, 2010, 02:21:57 PM
Can opensolaris be made to run ipv6 only, and if so, how?

EDIT

I have Solaris 11 Express up and running IPv6 only. Problem is /etc/resolv.conf is emptied at boot.

Any idea how I can keep my manually added nameservers in this file upon reboot?

Thanks

That's interesting... Works great for me in solaris 10.  I have a solaris 11 vm at work that I'll spin up tommorrow and see if it works for me

A guy at work here wants to know if you're using DHCP on that machine?  He seems to think that DHCP will overwrite the /etc/resolv.conf file

No dhcp, ipv4 is disabled in the gui network tool located in the upper right tray icon.
