Hello,
I'm using miredo (on OS X, using MS teredo servers) in order to connect to an he tunnel endpoint. Furthermore, a routed /48 is assigned at the endpoint, while routed::1/64 is assigned to a tap0 interfaces.
ping6'ing / traceroute6'ing the tunnel endpoints works:
traceroute6 to 2001:470:1f14:1460::2 (2001:470:1f14:1460::2) from 2001::5ef5:79fd:144f:2b4a:abc0:f757, 64 hops max, 12 byte packets
1 6to4.ams1.he.net 148.701 ms 17.655 ms 17.517 ms
2 gige-g2-9.core1.ams1.he.net 75.146 ms 18.464 ms 25.435 ms
3 gige-gbge0.tserv11.ams1.ipv6.he.net 67.565 ms 22.549 ms 21.516 ms
4 yanosz-1-pt.tunnel.tserv11.ams1.ipv6.he.net 30.856 ms 29.649 ms 28.884 ms
while route::1 has temporary, non-deterministic outages:
(non-working example)
localhost:~ jan$ traceroute6 2001:470:d600::1
traceroute6 to 2001:470:d600::1 (2001:470:d600::1) from 2001::5ef5:79fd:144f:2b4a:abc0:f757, 64 hops max, 12 byte packets
1 2001::5ef5:79fd:144f:2b4a:abc0:f757 0.486 ms !A 0.647 ms !A 0.307 ms !A
localhost:~ jan$
working example:
traceroute6 2001:470:1f14:1460::2
traceroute6 to 2001:470:1f14:1460::2 (2001:470:1f14:1460::2) from 2001::5ef5:79fd:144f:2b4a:abc0:f757, 64 hops max, 12 byte packets
1 6to4.ams1.he.net 148.701 ms 17.655 ms 17.517 ms
2 gige-g2-9.core1.ams1.he.net 75.146 ms 18.464 ms 25.435 ms
3 gige-gbge0.tserv11.ams1.ipv6.he.net 67.565 ms 22.549 ms 21.516 ms
4 yanosz-1-pt.tunnel.tserv11.ams1.ipv6.he.net 30.856 ms 29.649 ms 28.884 ms
localhost:~ jan$
For some reason (in the non-working example), packets didn't go beyond localhost. While pinging the tunnel endpoints works at the same time...
Do you know what's wrong here? Is it a miredo issue?
Thanks,
Keep smiling
