Title: Problem in test for administrator's level
Post by: jppo on July 30, 2011, 06:07:56 AM
Hello,

There is a problem in the test for administrator's level :
The SMTP server is not always given by the MX record, and the RFC says that if there is no MX record the SMTP server is the machine given by the DNS.
So I can't pass that level as I didn't have an MX record for my domain.

Regards

The test is two fold. Running a MTA, and creating a proper DNS record, in this case MX. Just as you had to create a AAAA record for your HTTP service, the tests are about a mixture of DNS and the service themselves.
