Title: Someone else has my IPv4 endpoint registered
Post by: signine on November 19, 2008, 10:43:33 AM
I recently picked up server from one of those cheap VPS hosting places, and it looks like someone else using the place registered the static IP I was assigned with tunnelbroker at some point.  Is there any way for me to somehow reclaim that IP for my use?  The IP is 209.40.201.20.

I know what "cheap VPS hosting place" you are referring to, hehe. I also have a server with them, in that same /20 block.

Did you try sending HE an email? I am sure they can remove the old tunnel for you, so that you can create yours.

Maybe they should have some period after which unused tunnels expire to prevent this kind of thing from happening.

This should already be taken care of.
