Title: Dynamic DNS showing as status "Abuse"
Post by: madbobmcjim on October 11, 2013, 07:41:44 AM
Hi,

I'm in the process of transferring my domain over to HE and I'm trying to get the dynamic DNS working.

My DNS client is reporting an update status of abuse, and when I run the tool manually I get the following statement:
RECEIVE:  HTTP/1.0 200 OK
RECEIVE:  Date: Fri, 11 Oct 2013 14:04:50 GMT
RECEIVE:  Server: dns.he.net v0.0.1
RECEIVE:  Email: DNS Administrator <dnsadmin@he.net>
RECEIVE:  Cache-Control: no-cache, must-revalidate
RECEIVE:  Expires: Sat, 11 Oct 2014 14:04:50 GMT
RECEIVE:  Content-Length: 5
RECEIVE:  Content-Type: text/html
RECEIVE:
RECEIVE:  abuse
FAILED: updating home.mephi.co.uk: abuse: The hostname specified is blocked for abuse; you should receive an email notification which provides an unblock request link.  More info can be found on https://www.dyndns.com/support/abuse.html

I've not received an email, any idea how I can fix this?

Cheers,

Matt

Ok, nevermind. I was passing up the wrong username variable...

Cheers,
