My brother was having an issue with linking his Office 365 account to his domain so he called Microsoft and they remotely connected to his PC

As part of the fix they decided that it would be a good idea to disable his IPv6 stack. Still for the life of me can't figure out why.
I know there is advice on the Web suggesting people disable v6 but this seems to me to be bad advice as when ISP's change over as they must, far from being a seamless experience for the end user it's going to cause tech support headaches.

I've since sorted his v6 stack so I don't need advice on that score thanks.

Unfortunately that seems to be the response of many vendors, simply because they don't understand IPv6 and that use to be the way to fix network issues.

It seems that the tech actually went against Microsoft's own advice though.

I'm connected to portal.office.com over IPv6 right now. What a moran that tech was.
