To get IPv6 anywhere, I carry a small soekris PC and an Apple Airport Express which are configured to provide a wireless network. The soekris builds an IPsec VPN tunnel back to my home office router and then builds a gif tunnel over the VPN. This is a tremendous kludge as indicated by the 1320 byte mtu.
It wouldn't be the first time I was missing something totally obvious. Has anyone found a more elegant solution to getting IPv6 on the road?
Just as an FYI, I would disqualify Teredo as more elegant off the bat. I used to use it but I found it very unreliable. In fact, I found Teredo so unreliable that I configured an IPv4 IPsec VPN for my laptop to get at the assets for which I used to use IPv6 and Teredo.
Thanks in advance:
Chris
