Title: newbie question for my webpage => change links
Post by: kue2bk on April 12, 2016, 07:25:53 AM
Guys,

I run a webside with files (audio + text data) that are offered from my own NAS.

My new provider (since 2 weeks) only offers IPV6 DualStack-lite so I need a tunnel to offer people my data.

All links (@ my page) look like this: blackchannel.selfhost.in/BC050315.mp3

or http://bl-c.selfhost.eu/BC050315.mp3  (my dyndns provider is "selfhost")

Now I applied for a tunnel within the (tunnelbroker.net/) service (Create Regular Tunnel)

=> now the question: how does my new links on my webpage look like - so that all Users
can reach that files?

Greetings Tobias

Assuming your dyndns provider support IPv6 the links would remain the same. If the provider doesn't support IPv6 then can't use the same URL's and would need to either get a different DynDNS provider that does support IPv6, you would need to use a DNS provider that supports static IPv6 addresses (assuming the IPv6 address on your NAS device doesn't change), or just use URL's that include the IPv6 address rather than a domain name.
