Title: High packet loss to my endpoint
Post by: cdhowie on October 24, 2016, 03:05:53 PM
Today I noticed many sites being slow to load, but only specific ones.  In the past this has always meant some problem in IPv6-land, and today is no exception.  I have 20-25% packet loss to my IPv4 tunnel endpoint.

--- 184.105.253.14 ping statistics ---
219 packets transmitted, 172 received, 21% packet loss, time 218274ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 25.844/28.330/40.043/2.947 ms

Pinging the IPv6 endpoint produces similar results (no surprise there).

Should I report this problem somewhere?  I cannot reproduce this issue with any of my known-good IPv4 servers; they all ping with 0% loss consistently.

There was an attack against a tunnel off that tserv.
It has been mitigated.
As always, if you detect an issue, email ipv6@he.net to open a ticket.

Thanks, I can confirm I'm not getting any packet loss now.  I'll email in the future, I just wanted to make sure it was a legitimate issue before reporting.
