Title: HSRP with HE IPv6 Tunnel Broker
Post by: CiscoFanboy on September 16, 2017, 05:41:47 PM
Hello everyone,

I am curious if it is possible to set up HSRP with a regular IPv6 tunnel from the tunnel broker. I already have HSRP set up with my two internet providers... Cox and CenturyLink.

Thanks.

Not really. We have RPF in place upstream of your tunnel, so that tunnel's space is routed through it, not others. It'd almost be better to simply have a watchdog timer detect when a link goes down, update some dyndns entry and fire off an update to the broker for whichever IPv4 provider you use isn't down/offline.

I can do the same even if my public ip address has changed as well right, how would I configure that in my cisco routers?

Thanks.
