Title: tserv18.fra1 down since days
Post by: groetzner on June 06, 2020, 01:42:26 AM
Hello,
does anybody know why tserv18.fra1 is down since a few days?
The server is also listed down on https://tunnelbroker.net/status.php
Is there a update ongoing or are there bigger problems?
Sascha

I mailed HE back in June 2nd, took some while to get a reply:
QuoteWe're waiting on remote hands at the facility to finish working on it. No ETR.

The status page is also updated to state that:

FYI - its looking like it will need the hardware replaced. There is a chance we can reuse gear already deployed in another POP near (latency-wise) to our FRA1 and migrate configs to restore service for this node. No ETR, but we are working on the issue.

That's great news! Thank you for the update.
Btw, can I know what hardware do you use for POPs? Is there any article on HE.net website describing the tunnelbroker service?

It's basically back, but in a nearby location: Düsseldorf.

Thank you and everyone @noc! My session is up again with (little to) no config modification.
