Title: Export Compliance
Post by: tbmarcinkk on May 06, 2021, 05:07:02 AM
Hi,

I have created the 6in4 to get some practice in IPv6.

Generally works well, but I found the following problem:

I'm from Poland. My endpoint for tunnel is Warsaw. But my IPv6 pool is from ... I'm not sure, from Ukraine?
As a result I cannot download drivers from Intel's sites using IPv6 because of export compliance restrictions :(

When I'm trying to download something I'm redirected to: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/info/exportcompliance
After disabling IPv6 works as expected.

How to change my location identification? Is it possible?

Regards,
Marcin

You can't change it, it has to come from Intel or HE

@cholzhauer Well, there's also the WHOIS entry. It's not only external GeoIP databases. Difficult to analyze without knowing the prefix.
