Title: Enthusiast test does not work with .cl domain names
Post by: rebrane on May 07, 2009, 09:41:12 AM
Hi there,

I'm running the certification test and just ran into some problems with the Enthusiast-level test. I added an AAAA record to my domain in the .cl (Chile) TLD and added the file to my webserver, but the test failed. This perplexed me as it worked from another IPv6-capable site that I used to test. Finally, I got the idea of trying to add the AAAA record to a .net domain I also control (on the same nameserver, no less), and then it worked without a hitch.

So obviously, the test program is somehow choking on the (two-level? foreign?) TLD. I don't know if this is intentional or not, but if it is, you should at least make it give a more descriptive error upon failure.

Enjoying the test,

When you have a problem, email ipv6@he.net so we can troubleshoot.

So go ahead, and email us details about your problem including the .cl domain, account name, etc.
