Title: Error when setting endpoint
Post by: pikecom on April 15, 2008, 08:54:43 PM
I obtain the following error when setting endpoint. I need to know what host will be sending icmp requests to my endpoint to allow icmp requests from it.
Thanks

Error: Your IPv4 endpoint is unreachable or unstable. Please make sure ICMP is not blocked.

Fatal error: Cannot break/continue 1 level in /home/tb/public_html/includes/index_activate_tunnel.inc on line 52

tunnelbroker.net's ip is where the ping should originate.

I am trying to set up a regular IPv6 tunnel.  When I enter my IP address (found from www.whatismyip.com), I get "Error: Your IPv4 endpoint is unreachable or unstable. Please make sure ICMP is not blocked."  ICMP echo requests were not blocked by my windows firewall, but I disabled my firewall anyways to see if the tunnel would succeed.  It did not work.  Any suggestions??  I don't have any experience with networking or IPv6.

What is your IPv4 IP?

My IP is 98.244.84.186.  Thanks for responding quickly :)

EDIT:

I created the tunnel, need to use 98.244.84.1 instead.  I ran the example configuration in the command line, though when I navigate to www.ipv6.org in IE, it says I am using an ipv4 IP address.  My firewall is off.  Any common mistakes I may be making?
