Hello

Now that there are 100 Sages with 1500 points http://ipv6.he.net/certification/scorecard.php

Is there going to be the top 200? or is there going to be stats on the number of sages with the maximum points?

Or even new tests to make it top score higher than 1500?

Thanks

jimb

I think the top 100 sages should get a free gig-e drop into their house from HE.   ;D

I like it.

However, how do we know who the top 100 are?  If I have 1500 and you have 1500, who's 1500 is higher?

cconn

I guess I am lazy but I found the daily traceroute/ping/whois to be tedious and IMO not really representative of anything.   I guess I got bored  :-\

But I come here daily to see whats going on, which is what I figure the point of the tiny incremental testing was for.  :)

I agree...however I would say top 200 for the gig-e. I am slowly catching up!

I think the point of them is to demonstrate a connection that has exists for a long time or how stable it is. I have a nice script for mine to submit them automatically daily.

I am not sure is the list order by people that got there first or when they first sign up?

I have heard that you can keep submitting them when you have reached 1500? are they secretly counting that too?

Related problem - breakdown by country.
QuoteHere's the numeric breakdown for all active countries:
...
United States 1,020 36.40%
...
There are 1,010 IPv6 Sages in 50 US states
OK, so where did the other 10 U.S. sages go?

Also, DC and "Armed Forces PO boxes Europe" aren't in states (5 sages combined).  Since Puerto Rico and the "outlying minor [Pacific] islands" are shown as separate countries, I don't think it's a territorial issue.

Interesting that there are no sages in Rhode Island or Wyoming.

Various legacy users who don't have states for some reason, or invalid entries for states.  Fixing the ones with enough information to be able to fix.

where can i see the stats by country??

thanks.

Q regarding account:  I logged in to my certification account, but I didn't see anything that tells me how many points I have.  All it tells me is that I'm a sage.  If I'm not listed in the "top 200," how do I find out how many points I have?

broquea

snarked: after logging in, click on your bage, and it takes you to your public scoresheet

Care to share it?
I started developing one too, but the issue I have is that I am having trouble creating a good list of ping-able IPv6 addresses.

I would love to see this script as well.. I won't need it for that much longer, but hey would be nice to see it working.  And I agree the hardest part is finding a good IPv6 address that works for all the criteria.

ping and AAAA easy, many do not have PTR, trace rarely works the whole way.

What I normally end up doing is using a hop along the way that returns ptr, and whois can be a pain sometime - many sites are on he tunnels ;) hehehe

This site has been ok for finding ipv6 sites to use

And also this one - top million ipv6 sites.
