Title: Slightly OffT: What means Sage?
Post by: VoelkersIT on September 22, 2010, 07:12:10 AM
Hi,

i just run through the certification until Sage - but what means the word "Sage" in german? dict.leo.org tells me "Köcherfliege", e.g. caddisfly.
I think that result isn't worth the work ;-)

http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/sage?show=1&t=1285164920

See 1: one (as a profound philosopher) distinguished for wisdom

or alternatively, a European perennial mint (Salvia officinalis) with grayish-green aromatic leaves used especially in flavoring meats

Your choice :)

Although some may prefer

See2: a mature or venerable man of sound judgment  :)

Possibly the German might be "Weiser" ? And leads to the possibility that the next cert would be "rosemary" then "thyme" (it is late)  ;D

I opted for gender/species neutral :)

However, German is not a gender-neutral language.

Thyme: get NTP working using IPv6.
