Title: Changing tunnel rDNS?
Post by: yakatz on May 18, 2011, 12:14:26 PM
I took over a tunnel from my brother.
The tunnel name is now yakatz-2.tunnel.tserv4.nyc4.ipv6.he.net, which resolves to 2001:470:1f06:a10::1.
The reverse DNS is still showing kohenkatz-2.tunnel.tserv4.nyc4.ipv6.he.net (which does not resolve to anything in forward DNS).
How can I get this fixed?

Is the tunnel still under his username?

No.
He has another tunnel, but this one is gone.

I have the same problem - my #2 tunnel shows christopherprice-2-pt.tunnel.tserv13.ash1.ipv6.he.net. instead of 'raybellis'.  Presumably he's an ex-user whose IP6 address has been recycled?

My #1 tunnel point-to-point has no PTR records at all.

you can email ipv6@he.net to expedite the change.
