Title: IPv6 on Virtual Maschine

hello guys,

i have a problem with add my tunnel to my VM.

Please help me

ip tunnel add he-ipv6 mode sit remote TUNNELIP local SERVERIP ttl 255

then enter and this output i have now

add tunnel sit0 failed: No such device

Sry for my bad english and i hope you understand it.

Hi 2moons,

Is it a OpenVZ VM?

It seems that the kernel module for sit devices is not loaded, therefore you cannot use the standard ways to connect to HE.
You may request this to be enabled from the admin of the VPS hosting or you may try this program as a workaround: https://code.google.com/p/tb-tun/.

add line mobprobe ipv6 to your tunnel script

Until you can exactly determine the type of VM, blindly trying things is pointless.
Ask your provider what type of VM it is.
