Title: Any luck with 123-reg?
Post by: Muzer0 on September 10, 2015, 02:02:28 AM
Hi all,

DNS is one of the many things I don't actually know that much about, so I'm afraid you might have to bear with me here. I'm currently with 123-reg, and yes, I know they are a little crap. I was trying to figure out how to delegate my domain to HE, but changing the nameservers through the 123-reg interface does not appear to have the desired effect. What am I missing? Do I need to set up my own temporary DNS server to set up the NS records, then point the DNS directly at HE, or will this not work either? Does anyone have any luck with getting this working with 123-reg?

Solved my own problem. Turns out I was setting a CNAME for @ which was causing all sorts of problems. Removing this CNAME in 123-reg made this work.
