Title: Nameservers
Post by: myvps on March 15, 2009, 01:07:24 PM
Hi,
Are there any HE.net or other open nameservers running on IPv6? I've just setup an ipv6 home network (100% ipv6) and I'm unable to do anything without the resolvers :P

I would strongly suggest to use the caching name servers of your normal upstream provider - even if they are IPv4 only. Just set up a dual stack name server e.g. on the machine that provides the tunnel. (Depending on your needs I'd recommend 'bind' or 'dnsmasq'.)

Having said that you can of course still look at the following post... ;)
QuoteWe have some caching name servers dualstack:
ns1.fmt.he.net
ns2.fmt.he.net
ns1.fmt2.he.net
ns1.sjc.he.net

Alternatively, set up your own server on your system/network.
