Title: Tunnel 6to4 in DMZ zone
Post by: maryl16 on August 23, 2017, 04:04:08 AM
I have a local ISP that has recently changed the network configuration. Previously, my router (Routerboard 2011UiAS) received a direct external IP address, now it gets a local address (192.168.55.101). However, my router is in the DMZ zone. I have a problem creating a 6in4 (and 6to4) tunnel. Do you have any idea? I thought the DMZ zone would solve the problem and everything would work fine, but it is not.

My router: Routerboard 2011UiAS
ISP device: DASAN GPON ONT H645G

Some routers don't do a true DMZ...I don't know if yours is one of these, but if it is, it won't work.

Either way, you need a public IP address for 6in4 via HE to work.

I found a method, port activates sends packets with protocol 41, but no one receives. Maybe it is the DMZ that only works on TCP and UDP protocols.
