Hello,

I have a problem.
I cannot connect to a server with ipv6 over RDP.
I can ping the ip but cannot reach the RDP.

I have a SSHD server running with cygwin on that server i can reach ssh with ipv6 ip.
but i can't reach RDP

What can i do?

Kind regards

cholzhauer

I can assure you that remote desktop works over ipv6.  I would check your firewall and make sure you have rdp access enabled

thats strange, i can not connect with rdp but ssh is working.
i'll try update the server and mayby then it will working.

i tested it from an windows pc in my internal network with ipv6 it works with that way.
But if anyone from outside the network connect to it it wont work.

Ensure RDP is allowed through Public.

Can you RDP to the server over IPv4? Because I RDP into my Windows 7/2k8 boxes all the time via IPv6.
