• Welcome to Hurricane Electric's IPv6 Tunnel Broker Forums.

Just setup my first tunnel; can ping the tunnel end but can't route outside.

This is all very exciting... but it seems the tunnel is not routing traffic on the far end. I just had this tunnel assigned about 15 minutes ago.

I can ping the other end:

ping 2001:470:1f0e:13b::2
PING 2001:470:1f0e:13b::2 (208.69.32.132): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 208.69.32.132: icmp_seq=0 ttl=48 time=47.024 ms

But I can't ping ipv6.google.com which resolves to 2001:4860:0:2001::68

ping6 2001:4860:0:2001::68
PING6(56=40+8+8 bytes) 2001:470:1f0e:13b::2 --> 2001:4860:0:2001::68

Wireshark shows ICMPv6 exiting the interface encapsulated in IPv4 but there is no response. I've also tried connecting to various web pages with the same result.

Am I doing something wrong?

Nevermind... my fault.

I'm behind NAT. That screwed it up.

It's working now! Very cool. I've always wanted to see the dancing kame.
