IPsec in IPv6

I understand that IPsec is built into the IPv6 standard; is there something that I need to do to enable IPsec?

Here's some background.

At some point in the future, I'm going to be bringing a remote disaster recovery site online.  Instead of setting up a VPN between two locations, I was hoping to use IPv6 with IPsec to secure traffic between the two locations.

I have a couple of IPv6 books here, but they don't mention anything, and I haven't been able to find anything online.

You can look at something like OpenSwan for a start.

If you're planning on doing IPsec between two locations with static addresses, it should be much the same as IPsec for IPv4, which is likely why the v6 docs aren't really mentioning it.  It's functionally the same on both protocols, just lots of fun with setkey, really.

Yep, that's the idea.  I'll check out OpenSwan when I get the chance
