Incorrect "Your MX does not appear to have working RDNS" on Professional test

Hi all,

I've been banging my head against a wall on this one for a while. I can't get my MX to register as having a PTR entry in the Professional test despite the fact that it does (on the HE DNS service no less), and with a TTL on the records of 15 min I'm not sure why this hasn't cleared up by now -- it's been in this configuration for a couple of days.

Dig queries below. Same results are returned if I ask the HE.net nameservers directly. Any ideas?

Cheers!

Agreed...if I run the dig commands against HE, I get the same responses as you listed.

You might need to email ipv6@he.net to have them kick the server.

Thanks cholzhauer... it's good to see it's not just me being crazy! I'll send them an email.

That did it! Hurricane support flushed the cache and all's well; in fact because I was using HE's DNS servers I went straight through to Sage  8)

Great certification program!

Hi!
I have similar error message, but... If I understand correctly, I needed to set a PTR record to DNS. I tested IPv6 with a sub domain, ipv6.ipont.hu. The domain registrar is another company, and theirs admin interface can manage only "A", "CNAME", "MX", "TXT" records. What can I do? What's the solution? Or I have a wrong way of thinking...?

Thanks for your help

Somehow you've already listed an AAAA address for ipv6.ipont.hu.  It looks like ipv6.ipont.hu is also your mail server

Now, you need to do a PTR record to point 2001:470:1f13:68b::1 at ipv6.ipont.hu

Yeah... The DNS admin panel have a "bug": example with Firebug I can rewrite form values. I did so AAAA record, but "officially" this isn't possible. I try this bug with PTR, but doesn't work.

Edit: OMG!! My question... sorry guys. I realize I had a stupid question...
