Is PPTP disabled?

Hello,

I have a tunnel on tserv4.nyc4.ipv6.he.net, and until some weeks ago, I was able to connect by using PPTP.

I tried to establish a connection today, and while the PPTP connection initially succeeded (Outgoing-Call-Reply with Result==Connected and Error==None), the server then terminates the connection and GRE packets elicit ICMP type 3 code 2 (Protocol Unreachable) messages from tserv4.nyc4.ipv6.he.net.

Is this behaviour expected?

Best Regards

Javier

PPTP looks to be running fine on that tserv. Has anything changed on your end lately?

rjgodoy

There were no changes, I'm using the same configuration that worked some weeks ago (software firewall disabled, VPN pass through, etc.).

I'm very suspicious that my ISP may be forging the FIN and ICMP responses, but before complaining to them I wanted to be sure that the server was working.

What about on tserv13.ash1.ipv6.he.net?

I just noted similar when I rewired/configured my home network to create a remote lan segment for my office.

Router just sits there initalizing, dialing..., termating... -disconnected in a matter of about a second and a half over and over.

Desktop cant even connect to same PPTP settings anymore.

I know new users were not able to get pptp accounts but did that change now so that all users cant use pptp?

If you had pptp access when the beta was running, and the service hasn't crashed or been totally removed from the tserv, then it might still work.

Otherwise new accounts or old accounts with new tunnels (since beta was closed *months ago*) won't have any pptp access.

Same here.  Can't connect to tserv4.nyc4.ipv6.he.net anymore.  Tried from both PC and Mac.
