IPv6 connectivity lost on laptop wakeup

When my laptop wakes from sleep, it looses IPv6 connectivity. When I disable and re-enable the integrated wired adapter, IPv6 connectivity is re-established.

This does not occur when I put the laptop to sleep and wake it up a minute or two later. I assume the preferred or maximum router advertisement has expired. But isn't radvd supposed to broadcast a router advertisement when it receives a neighbor solicitation?

The laptop uses IPv6 auto-configuration because dibbler is too big for my router and I can't get wide-dhcpv6-server to assign static addresses.

I am going to investigate this issue. I thought I would post here on the friendly Hurricane Electric forums in case someone has already dealt with this issue... and to reply with my findings.
