tunnel on win xp sp3 not working - help
« on: May 24, 2011, 04:00:14 PM »

OK just installed the ipv6 in my xp machine and did the config per the site, yet nothing is working.

I need some help to figure out what is wrong or if i missed something.

ipconfig /all shows the tunnel is indeed installed yet I have no access to any IPv6 sites / IPs

lets see ipconfig /all, your routing tables, and the commands you used to setup the tunnel.

also, is your router/firewall passing protocol41?

After some fiddling with the netsh cmds and a reboot, they are now working.. not sure why they didn't work the first time.. but meh, as long as it works now.

Lets hope doing win7 is easier then this XP box was.

It's a problem with all windows versions...you can only have one adapter with a certain name; trying to create a second adapter with the same name results in what you're seeing
