Question on RDNS?

Hi  - I am working my way through the certification process and enjoying it - I did the the rdns test and it seemed to work and moved me on to the Professional level - but on the Guru test it is asking to test my xxx.broker.freenet6.net address as opposed to my .info address?

When I use nslookup it sems to resolve ok?

Have I missed something?

Thanks for checking - v strange it had rabinski.broker.freenet6.net before? Leave it with me - I will update

Also - I was getting the below on the guru page

    * The Name Servers for rabinski.broker.freenet6.net need to have a AAAA records
    * Those Name Servers need to respond to queries made via IPv6

as opposed to rabinski.info ?

I will double check this evening

What domain were you using for the previous tests?

I have only used rabinski.info - although I ran the web server section on a seperate machine? I saw some of the FAQ's where people had changed domains and had gone back to 'Explorer' level to continue - would you advise this?

You should only go back to the explorer level  if you want to change domains...there's no use going back just go back  (unless you want to go through the tests again)

Not sure why the test asks for the freenet6 domain tho?

   Check to see that the nameservers associated with rabinski.broker.freenet6.net have IPv6 AAAAs

Any ideas?

Yep, RDNS looks good.

If the test is looking for the wrong domain, you'll want to reset the test and start again using the correct domain.

Sorry forgot to update - yes resetting the test sorted the problem

RE: rabinski.info - You should probably list all 5 of HE's DNS servers in your forward zone, not just ns1 and ns2 (from your domain registration) or ns2...ns5 (from your zone).  These two sources should be equal.
