Hallo,

are there any considerations to provide tunnel servers in austria or at least ipv6 addresses with AT language prefix?

Even if the tunnel server is not running at or near interxion it would really be nice to get an ipv6 address with AT-language prefix.

Would be fine to use netflix or access other AT-specific content without needing to disable ipv6 over and over again  ;)

No plans as of yet for additional tservs in that region.

As for Geolocation: all of our address space is out of ARIN as we are based out of North America. We publish some details of location/region in rwhois information for tunnels, but are not responsible for external/3rd party Geolocation companies' data that they sell to others. We aren't about to start selling your data to them directly to improve their product, since that goes against the basic tenents of our Privacy Policy.

Thanks for you quick response.

It seems every tool is doing their own thing  :'(

I tried some tools to get my location (for example for 2001:470:6cb8:2::2)

http://www.whtop.com/tools.ip
- returns Feeemont, California, US

https://www.neustar.biz/resources/tools/ip-geolocation-lookup-tool
- returns Feeemont, California, US

http://ipv6locator.net/
- returns US

http://www.ipgp.net/
- returns AT

Similar results for 2001:470:1f0b:ef::1 or 2001:470:1f09:102f::2:

http://www.whtop.com/tools.ip
- returns Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation or United Kingdom

https://www.neustar.biz/resources/tools/ip-geolocation-lookup-tool
- returns Feeemont, California, US

http://ipv6locator.net/
- returns US

http://www.ipgp.net/
- returns AT

Netflix for example only provides US soundtracks and no German soundtrack.
Youtube somtimes only returns "This content is not available at your country"
orf.at (a national tv sender) also provides no content for non AT visitors

This situation is annoying. It seems that geolocation for ipv6 is just not working in a consistent way.

For running a server/service this is usually no problem, but for desktop use their are still some things not working as expected.
