Hello everybody.

I asked the question by email at ipv6@he.net but I did not have satisfactory answers.

I configured my windows computer to have the IPv6 tunnel and it works.
I did the same with my raspberry and it works too.

But I see a problem here:

-> When I first start my windows computer, I have a connection but when I start second my raspberry computer, I do not get a connection to the ipv6 tunnel.
-> When I first start my raspberry computer, I have a connection but when I start my second windows computer, I do not get a connection to the ipv6 tunnel.

Do I understand that I am entitled to only one connection?

Best regards.

The tunnel can only exist on a single device. You should be using the routed prefix(es) and creating a LAN segment and routing LAN hosts through the device with the tunnel created on it.

Hello broquea.

Thank you for your reply

My Server IPv6 Address is 2001:470:1f12:226::1/64
My Client IPv6 Address is 2001:470:1f12:226::2/64
My Routed/64 is ..........2001:470:1f13:226::/64

that's what I understood.

Quote from: BroqueaYou should be using the routed prefix(es) ...
I used the windows and debian / ubuntu scripts.
I use routed/ 64 addresses but not as it should.
I replaced in the script, the WAN address with the routed/ 64 address as the LAN address.

For Windows   = 2001:470:1f13:226::200
For Raspberry = 2001:470:1f13:226::520

Sorry but it's not very understandable to me.

Should I use a router to have multiple ipv6 lan addresses?
At the input of the router, I have to use my client address (2001:470:1f12:226::2) and at the output I have to use my routed/64 (2001:470:1f13:226::).

How to post in the forum the certification HE?

1) configure tunnel on SOME device that will act as the IPv6 ROUTER. This can be windows, pi, the router itself, something else. Your choice. You need IPv6 Packet Forward enabled on whatever device this is. You need to research how to do that.

2) configure 2001:470:1f13:226::1/64 on the LAN interface of that router

3a) if you want to statically configure IPs out of 2001:470:1f13:226::/64 on windows/pi/etc on the LAN, do so, and set your gateway to 2001:470:1f13:226::1

3b) if you want to dynamically configure IPs, you can use DHCP6+RA with +MO options enabled, or just straight up RA, and LAN hosts will autoconfigure connectivity and set their IPv6 address based on their interface MAC.

Hello Mr. Alex Broque.

I received your email which is identical to the message.
I thank you for all its details.

I know how to configure my raspberry as router. I used dnsmasq + hostapd.

Question: how many connections, for an ipv6 tunnel, was I entitled to?
Answer: only one connection! Hence the need to have a router to get more.

Question: how to access the forum?
Answer is: by doing the certification. I finished it without difficulty.

Question: how to display the result of the certificate?
Answer: Put it in the place of the avatar.

Best regards.

If you decide to use Windows 10 as the tunnel endpoint, you can't use Spring Creators Update/1803. The v6v4tunnel implementation is broken in that release. <=1709 or >=1809 is fine.

Hello Tjeske.

I am in the windows version 1903.

Best regards.
