badauth on every attempt to update a record

I'm trying to set up caddy using the dns provider and getting badauth however when i try to manually update the same record using a curl, i'm also getting badauth. I've validated i'm using the correct ddns key but still getting badauth.

Can someone shed any light on why this might be the case?
