Hi,

Im pretty green to all this ipv6 stuff and thats why I'm here  ;D It would seem I got two ipv6 address when I do an ipconfig. I dont know if thats normal or not, but I'm thinking not since I cant access ipv6.google.com. How do I delete one of them? I cant seem to follow the syntax.

Tunnel adapter IP6Tunnel:

   Connection-specific DNS Suffix  . :
   IPv6 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 2001:470:18:33d::2
   IPv6 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 2001:470:1f04:77f::2
   Link-local IPv6 Address . . . . . : fe80::11ce:34da:c849:8568%61
   Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 2001:470:18:33d::1
                                       2001:470:1f04:77f::1

I'm assuming you're running some variant of Windows?

Which address do you want to keep?

syntax should be

netsh int ipv6 delete address "ip6tunnel" [address]

or you can just reset the whole thing by doing a

netsh int ipv6 reset

ok i did the reset. now i only have 1 ipv6 address in the tunnel problem is i cant still access ipv6.google.com.

cholzhauer

OK, i'm gonna need some more information.

can you post your routing tables and the output of ipconfig /all ?  What are you using for a router?

sexybeast

ok here is the routing table and the ipconfig /all output. I'm using a WRH54G router. Router software is stock.

Whoa...what's with all of those 6to4 adapters?

And you don't have an IPv6 address on your Local Area Connection..choose one out of your routed /64 and add it

sexybeast

#6
how do i do that exactly? do i do that under the ipv6 wireless properties? or is there some command i need to do? as for the 6t04 adapters i have no clue, they have been multiplying like crazy. i had like 50 of them at one point. but i deleted most of it. thanks for your help.

cholzhauer

What OS?  If it's vista, you can add it under the IPv6 address settings under the adapter properties from the control panel.

You might want to do a "netsh int ipv6 reset" to try and get rid of all those 6-4 adapters though

jimb

Heh.  I wonder if Vista tries to create a new 6to4 adapter every time it sees a new public IP or something?
